Spitsbergen

A wilderness of steep mountains, stark glaciers and eerily beautiful offshore islands. As we sail around under the midnight sun for 2 days, we'll attempt for several exciting landings in different parts of the archipelago.

Jan Mayen

This volcanic isle is about as remote as you can get. It’s an untouched wilderness with a surreal atmosphere and no permanent residents, making it an unforgettable part of your Arctic adventure.

Iceland

Visit vibrant ‘Northern Capital’ Akureyri. Head east to Husavik, dubbed Iceland’s ‘Whale Capital.’ The head to Bakkagerdi, a tiny picturesque hamlet said to inhabit elves.

Faroe Islands

Experience the soothing peace of Elduvik, with just 23 inhabitants. Spend time wandering storybook - like, cobbled alleyways of Torhsavn, weaving between traditional Faroese turf-roofed homes & brightly coloured wooden houses

Shetland Islands

Famous for unique birdlife, visit Scotland’s northernmost town Lerwick. Sample their local delicacies, mingle with the Norse locals, walk to its highlights, and admire the beautiful waterfront

Polar Bear

During the 2 days exploring Spitsbergen keep your eyes peeled for the ‘lord of the Arctic,’ the regal polar bear. Summertime is when polar bears often trek along the coast’s drifting ice hunting for seals.

Unique Birds

Jan Mayen attract birds such as Northern Fulmar, Brünich’s Guillemot & Little Auk. Shetland Islands are famous for their unique birdlife, such as red-throated divers, redshank & curlew. Spot Faroese Starling or Eider Drake in Faroe Islands.

And more birds in Iceland!

The coastal cliffs of Bakkagerdi are home to a wide variety of birds, including Fulmar and Kittiwake. If conditions allow, we'll try to visit Hafnarhólmi, a fishing harbour home to a large Puffin colony, and some of the best bird watching in Iceland.

Seals

Sight seals having a feast in the rich fishing grounds of Jan Mayen. Get the chance to see seals, Grey & Common poking their head above the water near the shore on Lerwick’s beaches

Whales

While Jan Mayen will offer sights of many, Akureyri attracts humpback, white-beaked dolphins, harbour porpoises, orcas, blue & fin whales. Husavik - whale capital of the world, enjoys regular visits from humpback, minke, white-beaked dolphin, harbour porpoise & the elusive blue whale.

Landings

Make landings at different sites, sometimes via small boats, to reach pockets of islands that are off the track. Explore small settlements, hike through wilderness, walk through towns, or enjoy ice cruising in Svalbard
