A visit to Rwanda's nature and wildlife is a must experience once-in-a-lifetime. On this special guided expedition, we visit our closest cousins, the Gorillas, spend time with their family, while trekking. With a look at The Chimpanzees, we also take a special trek to a swamp to discover unique bird species of the region.
The largest wetland in Nyungwe National Park, its an internationally famous birding region. It takes 2 trekking sessions to sight its immense population of birds, beautiful orchids, and walk its different beautiful paths

With chances to visit one of the 12 habituated families in this region, the sight of mama gorilla lovingly caressing her baby, the silverback walking, or the juveniles playing is a sensory memory, that deeply moves the heart of many
Unlike the mountain gorillas, Chimpanzees are very vocal and mobile. They are famous for being heard from a distance, before finally catching a sight of hopping across tree tops, foraging some fruits or hunting for mammals. Because they are light, they move very quickly, and so will you have to too!
Walking under canopy of high-rise bamboo forest, amidst clouud forest, bushwhacking through thickets, stepping down steep trails amidst dense vegetation, sometimes on slippery tracks. This expedition will be unlike any other!
With stays arranged in nature based lodges, your journey will be filled with tropical sights and smells - coos of birds, faint gibbers of primates, sights of butterflies on wildflowers, sunlight streaming through canopy of giant plants, sound of pounding rain. At times, it will be just the sound of wind passing through the forest & your heartbeats!
10% of the revenue from gorilla trekking permits are used for conservation & community development, so your Rwanda gorilla trek will directly contribute to the protection of these beautiful creatures & the surrounding communities
