Join the expedition team as they invite you to hike through snow and ice-filled wilderness of Antarctica. Hike up to view points, walk among seals or penguins, visit a rookery.
At places not accessible by ship, the expedition team will take you on land on sturdy inflated rubber boats, to observe stunning wildlife, watch icebergs up close, or simply admire the views of particular site.
Sometimes you make a landing at places some may have never set foot before! With aim to get off ship 1-2 times a day, expect to visit abandoned whaling stations, research stations, see e a rookery, or climb up hills
Sighting them in real, is a spectacle on its own! During your sailing in peak summer, penguin rookeries will be at full capacity, with adults rearing their chics - Gentoos, Chinstraps, Adèlie
While, sighting the crab eaters will be common, we'll just be in time to see weaning of the Leopard & weaning cum rearing of Antarctic fur seals. The weddel seals chicks which have by now become adults will be found molting if spotted
December sees the arrival back of hungry humpback whales from tropical waters. Expect to spot fin, minke, orcas, southern right & sperm whales among others, all just beginning to arrive for the annual feeding season
With this peak summer season marking the breeding time for wandering albatross, expect to see shearwaters, petrels, blue-eyed shags, cormorants, sheathbills, skuas, gulls & terns at various different times
