The most exciting of the exciting day is here! We leave early morning on our Basler BT-67 aircraft, soaring over breathtaking mountain ranges before touching down at 83 Degrees South for refueling. Following a stroll on the High Polar Plateau, our journey continues to the iconic South Pole. Here, ample time is provided for photos and passport stamping before returning to 83° South for an overnight stay amidst the vast wilderness of the Plateau. At the heart of the Great White Continent lies the South Pole, a fixed point in the rotation of our dynamic Earth. Positioned exactly at 90 degrees of latitude, a few steps is all it takes to encircle the globe, marveling at a place where cardinal directions fade away – leaving only the north. The backdrop to this extraordinary location is the American Amundsen-Scott research station, marking a monumental achievement in human exploration.

Following a night spent under canvas, savor a hearty breakfast before reboarding the plane for the return flight to Whichaway Oasis.
